The Legal Aptitude is a one of the subject in any of entrance conducted for admission in law courses.
The Legal Aptitude Section consists of 50 questions in total in CLAT.
Legal aptitude is a combination of: Legal reasoning and Legal Knowledge.
Legal Reasoning questions focus on legal propositions, where a set of facts are given along with a principle of law. The given principle has to be applied to the facts. A students needs to make use of his legal aptitude, research aptitude and problem solving ability to reach at right answer.
Wherever a technical/legal term is used in the question, the term is explained in the text of the legal principle itself. Legal Knowledge consists of questions based on legal facts and current events related to the field of law.
If we analyze CLAT 2018 Legal Aptitude section, we can easily split it into two parts. Of the total 50 questions, the first 35 questions were principle-fact questions, and the last 15 questions were based on legal maxims.
